It is a new year and we are excited to be a part of all of the great events happening in the community. We hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season and a great start to 2017. Read on to learn more about what we have been up to in January.
Although we have had some warmer temperatures during this winter, we are still in the midst of our snowy season. We would like to remind everyone to stay bundled up and use caution when driving in snowy and icy conditions and walking on snowy or icy surfaces. It is also important to be careful when shoveling. Make sure to use caution on slippery surfaces, stay hydrated, and take breaks when needed.

OSS Received the Guardian of Excellence Award
OSS Health was thrilled to receive the Guardian of Excellence Award at Press Ganey’s Annual National Client Conference in November. This award is for organizations that have reached the 95th percentile for patient experience. In addition to this, OSS Health was one of two hospitals in the state of Pennsylvania to receive the Pinnacle of Excellence Award, which recognizes top performing organizations by category based on extraordinary achievements. We are honored to receive these awards!
Harrisburg Heat Event
Dr. Abbie Kelley and Sports Medicine Manager Bob Burton attended the Harrisburg Heat and Syracuse Silver Knights game on Friday, January 27. And Dr. King appeared with Mr. Burton on the 28th. Being able to support local teams with our skills is one of our favorite parts of our jobs at OSS Health! If you haven’t been able to make it to a Heat game, we highly recommend coming out to the home games in February.
