OSS Health Champion
Meet Lee McClellan. He is an OSS Health Champion. Lee was “pulling 360’s” on downhill skis at Ski Roundtop in February of this year when he over-rotated and came down on his shoulder. He came to OSS Orthopaedic Urgent Care on Powder Mill Road where he saw orthopaedic surgeon, Dr. William Ulmer. It turns out that Lee broke a bone and tore 3 of the rotator cuff ligaments in his shoulder. Lee had surgery in the OSS Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) at the beginning of March where Dr. Ulmer and Dr. Hines reattached the ligaments. He was soon back to work, in fact, he went to South Korea for work just two weeks after his surgery. Lee comes to physical therapy 3 times a week at OSS Health to work on regaining the strength in his shoulder, but he is back to doing the things he enjoys. In this picture, Lee was fishing in Alaska in July and he caught a 75 pound halibut that was over 5 feet long. He does not let pain steal his passion.
