## Questions about Club Foot?

Club foot is a common disorder in which one or both of a newborn’s feet are turned inward and downward and can’t easily be moved into a normal position. This causes misalignment of the foot. If club foot is not treated in a timely manner, it may lead to difficulty in learning to walk properly.

At OSS Health, [Dr. David Granger](https://osshealth.com/project/david-j-granger-dpm/) is trained to treat club foot disorder. Casting is one treatment option. It can be started on the day of birth or within several weeks after birth. The feet are put in a corrected position and then cast to ensure that the foot is held in this position. Casting normally takes place on a weekly basis until the feet are in normal position. Surgery is rare for this condition, but is sometimes used for children over the age of six months.
