Dr. Amit Patel
Amit R. Patel, MD is board-certified by both the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and the American Board of Spine Surgeons. Dr. Patel treats general orthopaedic issues including joint replacement and extremity trauma, but he has special expertise and fellowship training in the surgical and non-surgical treatment of the spine. His primary interests are treating complex spinal deformity, degenerative spinal conditions, back and neck pain, and pediatric and adult spinal trauma. Dr. Patel performs minimally invasive spine surgeries as well as surgical second opinions.
Dr. Patel’s goal is to get patients back to doing the activities they enjoy. In his leisure time, Dr. Patel enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, sports and the outdoors.

I sought relief for neck and shoulder pain. My symptoms included loss of feeling in my extremities, pain in my neck and shoulders, numbness in the arms, hands and feet. After Dr. Patel's diagnosis and surgical corrections through Anterior Discectomy with Cervical Fusion I walked out of his office three months later able to resume all normal activities. I feel I have been completely healed in less time then I expected after listening to others with similar ailments. My care was outstanding.

Great surgen, great guy! He always took the time to sit and talk until he answers all my questions. He was able to explain things to me in a way that I was able to understand, not like I was in medical school. He was always upbeat and positive dispite me being in great pain and feeling discouraged. After talking to Dr. Patel I felt encouraged and actually looking forward to surgery. He did a great job! I felt completely comfortable allowing him to do whatever he felt was necessary to do.
