Dr. Amit Patel
Amit R. Patel, MD is board-certified by both the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and the American Board of Spine Surgeons. Dr. Patel treats general orthopaedic issues including joint replacement and extremity trauma, but he has special expertise and fellowship training in the surgical and non-surgical treatment of the spine. His primary interests are treating complex spinal deformity, degenerative spinal conditions, back and neck pain, and pediatric and adult spinal trauma. Dr. Patel performs minimally invasive spine surgeries as well as surgical second opinions.
Dr. Patel’s goal is to get patients back to doing the activities they enjoy. In his leisure time, Dr. Patel enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, sports and the outdoors.

Dr. Patel is very thorough with his explanation of the upcoming procedure. Him along with his members of his team are very thoughtful and independently concerned for my procedure and recovery. I’ve been to OSS several times to have procedures done and all my cases have been as cool as far as surgeries go. I would highly recommend the doctors at OSS for any and all your orthopedic needs

Dr. Patel and his team were thorough and professional throughout my whole experience with them. They answered every 1000 question I had and then some. I felt included in the decision making for my care. I was not pressured into anything I felt uncomfortable with. They made sure I understood what my needs were and what to expect following my surgery. I must say that my overall experience with the surgical and hospital staff exceeded my expectations and I am truly blessed to be cared for by people that actually love what they do for a living. I am hopeful that my life will be restored and that I will be back to work and back to day to day lifestyle. I cannot thank you guys enough for all that you have done and continue doing to make your patients feel like they matter. I will also like to give a shout out to Dr Rutter for recommending Dr Patel to me for my continued care.
