Dr. Amit Patel
Amit R. Patel, MD is board-certified by both the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and the American Board of Spine Surgeons. Dr. Patel treats general orthopaedic issues including joint replacement and extremity trauma, but he has special expertise and fellowship training in the surgical and non-surgical treatment of the spine. His primary interests are treating complex spinal deformity, degenerative spinal conditions, back and neck pain, and pediatric and adult spinal trauma. Dr. Patel performs minimally invasive spine surgeries as well as surgical second opinions.
Dr. Patel’s goal is to get patients back to doing the activities they enjoy. In his leisure time, Dr. Patel enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, sports and the outdoors.

Dr. Patel has been caring for my lower back, neck, and knee since about 2014. He was on rotation at the OSS Urgent Care in York when I came in, completely stooped over and limping. He injected my knee that evening, has later replaced discs in my lumbar and thoracic spine. The recovery from his surgeries were so minimal- Dr. Patel and his team are second to none! Should you read this review and go elsewhere for your care, best of luck, but Dr. Patel, and his team at OSS IS the best of the best that there is. Period. Thank you, Dr. Patel, Ashley and OSS staff.

I have nothing but praise for Dr. Patel & Physician's Assistant Ashley . This was my very first time being in the hospital for a surgery . Everything was very smooth from OSS Urgent care to the day of the Surgery . I could not have asked for any better care . All the OSS staff are very friendly and helpful . I would recommend OSS for any medical procedures . Dr. Patel is a top notch Surgeon .
