Dr. Amit Patel
Amit R. Patel, MD is board-certified by both the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and the American Board of Spine Surgeons. Dr. Patel treats general orthopaedic issues including joint replacement and extremity trauma, but he has special expertise and fellowship training in the surgical and non-surgical treatment of the spine. His primary interests are treating complex spinal deformity, degenerative spinal conditions, back and neck pain, and pediatric and adult spinal trauma. Dr. Patel performs minimally invasive spine surgeries as well as surgical second opinions.
Dr. Patel’s goal is to get patients back to doing the activities they enjoy. In his leisure time, Dr. Patel enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, sports and the outdoors.

Great Dr that walked me thru every step of the process. He took the time to address all my concerns. Back to normal activity and exercising 3 months after disc replacement and fusion surgery.

I only wish you could add more stars, an additional one for "more awesome than 5 stars." Not only is Dr. Patel a remarkable person, he is one of the most gifted and knowledgeable surgeons. In writing this survey, I find it difficult to find praising adjectives sufficiently describing his manners and skills. Before my surgery, I had pain and atrophying leg muscles. Today, the pain is gone, and I am able to once again give resistance from someone pushing on a raised leg. There exist very few doctors that I have ever give my complete trusted. The first name on this extremely short list is Dr. Patel. I unreservedly recommend Dr. Patel for any spinal procedures. York and OSS are very fortunate Dr. Patel has chosen them to host his practice.
