Dr. Amit Patel
Amit R. Patel, MD is board-certified by both the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and the American Board of Spine Surgeons. Dr. Patel treats general orthopaedic issues including joint replacement and extremity trauma, but he has special expertise and fellowship training in the surgical and non-surgical treatment of the spine. His primary interests are treating complex spinal deformity, degenerative spinal conditions, back and neck pain, and pediatric and adult spinal trauma. Dr. Patel performs minimally invasive spine surgeries as well as surgical second opinions.
Dr. Patel’s goal is to get patients back to doing the activities they enjoy. In his leisure time, Dr. Patel enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, sports and the outdoors.

Dr. Patel is very kind and a great listener. I was sent to Dr. Patel from my neurosurgeon for follow up care after an Outpatient 2 level Cervical Fusion-that was not fusing. I needed more stabilization to decrease my pain. Dr Patel performed a posterior cervical fusion with conservative recovery. I am now 15 weeks post op. I am feeling so much better than before surgery! I recently started physical therapy. It is a slow but steady marathon of rebuilding strength. I am very grateful for Dr. Patel

Dr Amit Patel (OSS) is extremely knowledgeable and is renowned for his skill & approach. Not only does he take on cases that others won’t touch but he also trains other surgeons on his techniques. He is down to earth. He calls it like it is & gives options followed by recommendations. He is super friendly & has a great sense of humor.
