Dr. George Margetas
George P. Margetas, DO is a native of York and enjoys working in the community where he was raised. Dr. Margetas treats all general orthopaedic problems with special interest and training in joint replacements of the hip and knee. Dr. Margetas uses the most advanced technologies and minimally invasive approaches to return his patients back to the activities they enjoy. He places great importance on spending time with his patients to help them understand their orthopaedic condition as well as the treatment options.
Dr. Margetas also treats many general orthopaedic conditions, including minor trauma, sports injuries and upper extremity issues. In his leisure time, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends. His interests are travel, exercise, sports and hunting.

To find the right surgeon to perform my hip replacement I did some serious due-diligence while doing PT prior. After speaking with about 15 different knee replacement patients, there was one clear winner, Dr. Margetas. This surgery is not for the light of heart. You need to get yourself in decent shape before, and Dr. Margetas will work his magic to give you a better recovery and long term results. I am in week two, and everyday I am doing more, getting stronger, and it's all to Dr. Margetas' surgical solution.
