Dr. George Margetas
George P. Margetas, DO is a native of York and enjoys working in the community where he was raised. Dr. Margetas treats all general orthopaedic problems with special interest and training in joint replacements of the hip and knee. Dr. Margetas uses the most advanced technologies and minimally invasive approaches to return his patients back to the activities they enjoy. He places great importance on spending time with his patients to help them understand their orthopaedic condition as well as the treatment options.
Dr. Margetas also treats many general orthopaedic conditions, including minor trauma, sports injuries and upper extremity issues. In his leisure time, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends. His interests are travel, exercise, sports and hunting.

After 33 years of living in the US in all my medical history here I can sincerely declare that this is the one of the best doctors I encountered. Professional, knowledgeable with excellent communication skills and so on. I am from Ukraine and 4 members of my family were doctors of the highest levels. Both of my grandfathers were heads of medical hospitals during the whole period of WWII in then USSR. In the peaceful times one of them was director of endocrinology clinic and was rated as far it could be done in the Ukraine as #2 in the country, and the second was the head of Urology hospital. I was raised by meeting the best doctors in Kharkiv (now mercilessly bombed). So trust me that I know what I'm talking about.

As a nurse, I have very high standards. I have a total hip replacement and Dr. Margetas exceeded all my expectations with my surgery. Everything was well explained and went well. Post-op follow-ups were no longer than they needed to be. Staff were friendly and efficient
