Dr. George Margetas
George P. Margetas, DO is a native of York and enjoys working in the community where he was raised. Dr. Margetas treats all general orthopaedic problems with special interest and training in joint replacements of the hip and knee. Dr. Margetas uses the most advanced technologies and minimally invasive approaches to return his patients back to the activities they enjoy. He places great importance on spending time with his patients to help them understand their orthopaedic condition as well as the treatment options.
Dr. Margetas also treats many general orthopaedic conditions, including minor trauma, sports injuries and upper extremity issues. In his leisure time, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends. His interests are travel, exercise, sports and hunting.

From start to finish I was very happy with Dr.Margetas. He explained what would be involved with the procedure. The whole process was very easy from the preop to postop. He does the maco robotics. I had my R hip replaced 5 years ago which was a completely different procedure. It was a longer recovery time. With the procedure he used I was back to work in 2 weeks using a cane. It's been almost a year now since I had my hip replaced. Everything has been great. I would highly recommend Dr. Margetas to anyone needing a hip replacement.
