Dr. George Margetas
George P. Margetas, DO is a native of York and enjoys working in the community where he was raised. Dr. Margetas treats all general orthopaedic problems with special interest and training in joint replacements of the hip and knee. Dr. Margetas uses the most advanced technologies and minimally invasive approaches to return his patients back to the activities they enjoy. He places great importance on spending time with his patients to help them understand their orthopaedic condition as well as the treatment options.
Dr. Margetas also treats many general orthopaedic conditions, including minor trauma, sports injuries and upper extremity issues. In his leisure time, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends. His interests are travel, exercise, sports and hunting.

Dr. Margetas is a superb surgeon. He is able to correct patient problems through careful diagnosis and skilled surgery. I saw him for both a total knee replacement and correction of a leg deformity. He was able to solve both issues in one operation. Throughout my experience, I was impressed by his caring and compassionate manner.

I met Dr margettis a few years ago when he did a partial left knee replacement when other knee surgeons were saying it would not be able to be repaired. he took on the surgery and made me better. when it was time for me to have a right knee total replacement there was no question in my mind who would I go see; again Dr margettis.I would recommend him to others as was he to me.
