Dr. George Margetas
George P. Margetas, DO is a native of York and enjoys working in the community where he was raised. Dr. Margetas treats all general orthopaedic problems with special interest and training in joint replacements of the hip and knee. Dr. Margetas uses the most advanced technologies and minimally invasive approaches to return his patients back to the activities they enjoy. He places great importance on spending time with his patients to help them understand their orthopaedic condition as well as the treatment options.
Dr. Margetas also treats many general orthopaedic conditions, including minor trauma, sports injuries and upper extremity issues. In his leisure time, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends. His interests are travel, exercise, sports and hunting.

I cannot say enough positive things about Dr. Margetas. My first visit with this fine gentleman was just a few weeks ago. I was referred to him by a few friends as he performed knee replacement surgeries on each. I was extremely happy with my visit as Dr. Margetas spent alot of time with my husband and I, explained things clearly and thoroughly and was very polite, congenital, professional and highly qualified as a an orthopedic surgeon. I came into OSS due to a possible broken toe . The staff were both friendly and knowledgeable. They took X-rays. The doctor, who was very friendly and professional, showed me the toe was not broken. However, I’m still having issues with pain. So I’m not sure if he looked any further into my issue. I’m not passing blame on him as I know that emergent care is busy.
