Dr. Sania Mahmood
Dr. Mahmood went to University of Maryland, College Park for her undergraduate degree, and medical school at Drexel University in Philadelphia. She completed a year of general surgery at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia before completing her residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Mahmood finished her last year of training in Joint Arthroplasty at Emory University.

My surgeon had left OSS so my care was transferred to Dr. Mahmood. I’ve had a lot of issues since having my hip replacement surgery. My surgeon just kept telling me I needed to give a time and would not listen to me. I had the other hip replaced 3 years ago so I knew what to expect and knew that something didn’t feel right. I saw Dr. Mahmood for the first time and told her what issues I was experiencing. She listened and was able to give me a diagnosis on the spot with a clear treatment plan and I’m finally on my way to being pain free almost a year after my surgery. I’m so glad that she listened, didn’t brush me off and empathized with me. For a while, I thought I was crazy, but she reassured me that I was valid and there was hope that I’d be pain free.

One of the best doctors I see. I see about 6 doctors per month. She did my left knee replacement and I had a different doctor do my right kneec. I wish Dr. Mahmood had done my right knee. I recovered for her surgery in a few weeks and it took a year to recover from the right knee surgery., I still have swelling in my right knee a year later but I have no swelling in my left knee. I would recommend Dr. Mahmood wish the highest confidence possible.
