Dr. Corey Caruthers
Corey Caruthers, DO is an orthopaedic surgeon with specialized training in joint replacement surgery and arthroscopic surgery of the hip, knee, and shoulder. Dr. Caruthers uses a minimally invasive surgical approach and the most advanced technology when doing surgeries so that his patients have an excellent outcome and a faster recovery. He is one of few surgeons in central PA trained in robotic-assisted knee replacement and he uses the anterior approach to total hip replacement when appropriate. Dr. Caruthers also treats many general orthopaedic conditions including fractures and sports injuries.

Dr. Corey Caruthers and the entire staff at OSS was absolutely amazing!!! I was bone-on-bone for 8 years and very bow-legged. He said I was one of the worst cases he had ever seen. I had gone to a "different Orthopedic Doctor and Practice" for 8 years previously and was disappointed in how I always had to wait very long periods of time in the waiting room for my appointments. I am so thankful for a friend, who's mother had gotten a knee replacement with Dr. Caruthers 6 months prior, who told me to make an appointment with OSS and Dr. Caruthers. I am so happy that I followed his advice! I met with Dr. Caruthers in July of 2023 and we scheduled my 1st knee replacement for the end of November of 2023. It went so well, that 4 weeks later, I scheduled my 2nd knee replacement for the end of March 2024. I can say that as of July 1st 2024, I can walk normally and stand for long periods of time, completely pain-free! He gave me my life back!!! He corrected my knees/legs 20 degrees and the difference between the Before and After X-rays are incredible! I actually danced for the first time in 9 years last weekend and I cried tears of joy to finally feel "normal" again!!! Thank you so much, Dr. Caruthers!!! You saved me!!! I highly recommend him and the entire staff at OSS!!!

Dr Caruthers explained the surgery process well before and after surgery. The OSS Hospital intake was efficient and the nurses were very professional. Clear communication of timelines and expectations were made at each step in the process. Very pleased with the experience.
