Dr. Corey Caruthers
Corey Caruthers, DO is an orthopaedic surgeon with specialized training in joint replacement surgery and arthroscopic surgery of the hip, knee, and shoulder. Dr. Caruthers uses a minimally invasive surgical approach and the most advanced technology when doing surgeries so that his patients have an excellent outcome and a faster recovery. He is one of few surgeons in central PA trained in robotic-assisted knee replacement and he uses the anterior approach to total hip replacement when appropriate. Dr. Caruthers also treats many general orthopaedic conditions including fractures and sports injuries.

EXCELLENT, Professional, attentive, well prepared for my visit. He had reviewed my entire history, all xrays and MRI before he came into the exam room to meet me. He listened attentatively and provided honest thorough feedback. He examined my knee checking pain, swelling, stability and strength. He ordered up to date Xrays. He didn't tell me what I wanted to hear but he gave thorough explanations for his decisions. Safety and prevention of complications were foremost in his reasoning. He ordered PT to prepare my muscles for a future knee replacement and to maintain my strength and agility until it can be done. His visit notes were so very thorough. He did not rush me through.
