Dr. Corey Caruthers
Corey Caruthers, DO is an orthopaedic surgeon with specialized training in joint replacement surgery and arthroscopic surgery of the hip, knee, and shoulder. Dr. Caruthers uses a minimally invasive surgical approach and the most advanced technology when doing surgeries so that his patients have an excellent outcome and a faster recovery. He is one of few surgeons in central PA trained in robotic-assisted knee replacement and he uses the anterior approach to total hip replacement when appropriate. Dr. Caruthers also treats many general orthopaedic conditions including fractures and sports injuries.

I knew Dr. Caruthers would be my surgeon for both of my total knee replacements during my initial consultation. He listened to all my questions and explained the entire procedure completely and thoroughly. We discussed and agreed for the best outcome and results he would be using the Mako robotic arm for my knee replacements and that we would schedule the second knee replacement 6-7 weeks after the first. When I arrived at the OSS hospital knew exactly what to expect for my first surgery. Dr. Caruthers went over there procedure again briefly before surgery and followed up at the hospital the following morning. Second knee replacement was 7 weeks later and he was just as attentive and caring. The hospital, nurses and entire staff at OSS hospital were amazing. I'm now 5 months since this first surgery and basically 3 months since the second, pain free and active again. Follow up visits were easy and all questions were answered. Dr. Carothers did a great job at replacing my right knee. Robotics were used in the surgery. The procedure was performed at the OSS Hospital in York. The facility, nurses and staff were all first class. I would recommend Dr. Carothers to anyone considering this procedure.
