George Margetas DO
Orthopaedic Surgeon
Specialties
Meet Dr. George Margetas
I received my medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Pennsylvania and completed my internship and residency training at Memorial Hospital in York, PA. I also completed a post-residency specialized fellowship in adult hip and knee reconstruction and preservation at The Center for Joint Preservation and Replacement at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore, MD.
I am a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon specializing in joint replacement of the hip and knee. I use the most advanced technologies, including robotic-assisted knee replacement surgery, and minimally invasive approaches to return my patients back to activities they enjoy. I place great importance on spending time with my patients to help them understand their condition as well as explain the treatment options. I also treat many general orthopaedic conditions, including minor trauma, sports injuries and upper extremity ailments. I am a native of York and have the honor and privilege of working in the community where I was raised.
In my leisure time, I enjoy spending time with my wife, who is also a physician in the community, my children, family and friends. My interests are travel, exercise, sports, and hunting.
