George P. Margetas, DO is a native of York and enjoys working in the community where he was raised. Dr. Margetas treats all general orthopaedic problems with special interest and training in joint replacements of the hip and knee. Dr. Margetas uses the most advanced technologies and minimally invasive approaches to return his patients back to the activities they enjoy. He places great importance on spending time with his patients to help them understand their orthopaedic condition as well as the treatment options.
Dr. Margetas also treats many general orthopaedic conditions, including minor trauma, sports injuries and upper extremity issues. In his leisure time, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends. His interests are travel, exercise, sports and hunting.

40+ years with knee pain, that is the way my life has been. I did a lot of research,and ask a lot of questions about knee replacement surgery, and took the information I got and decided on total knee replacement and Dr. George Margetas. It’s been three weeks since the surgery, and I have to say that I am amazed at the process, and where I am at today. I’ve been walking without assistance since the second day, and now walking without any pain. It was a bit painful, but I made up my mind that I would do what they said to do. Best decision ever!
