Dr. George Margetas
George P. Margetas, DO is a native of York and enjoys working in the community where he was raised. Dr. Margetas treats all general orthopaedic problems with special interest and training in joint replacements of the hip and knee. Dr. Margetas uses the most advanced technologies and minimally invasive approaches to return his patients back to the activities they enjoy. He places great importance on spending time with his patients to help them understand their orthopaedic condition as well as the treatment options.
Dr. Margetas also treats many general orthopaedic conditions, including minor trauma, sports injuries and upper extremity issues. In his leisure time, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends. His interests are travel, exercise, sports and hunting.

While there wasn’t much he could do for me because my issue was out of his ballpark, he was very thorough, very up front and honest with me. He explained things as much as he could. Unfortunately he needed to refer me to a specialist due to my issue. (Reoccurring tumors in the knee aren’t just for everyone to play with lol) I really appreciated him just being so down to earth.
