Dr. George Margetas
George P. Margetas, DO is a native of York and enjoys working in the community where he was raised. Dr. Margetas treats all general orthopaedic problems with special interest and training in joint replacements of the hip and knee. Dr. Margetas uses the most advanced technologies and minimally invasive approaches to return his patients back to the activities they enjoy. He places great importance on spending time with his patients to help them understand their orthopaedic condition as well as the treatment options.
Dr. Margetas also treats many general orthopaedic conditions, including minor trauma, sports injuries and upper extremity issues. In his leisure time, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends. His interests are travel, exercise, sports and hunting.

Dr Margetas replaced my knee. I’m only a week post op so I’m still in pain but he is great. His staff is wonderful as well! We had to reschedule some things a couple of times and he was very accommodating. He is very knowledgeable and discussed everything with me step by step and helped me make decisions accordingly. I would highly recommend him.
