Dr. James Gilhool
James Gilhool, D.O. is board-certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Pain Medicine and Sports Medicine. Dr. Gilhool diagnoses and provides non-surgical treatment for disorders of the spine. Through exercise and injections, Dr. Gilhool’s goal is to help restore function so patients can do daily activities and improve their independence.
Dr. Gilhool is also a Certified ImPACT Consultant (CIC) treating concussions. In his leisure time, he enjoys spending time with his family, outdoor activities and coaching lacrosse.

Dr. Gilhool explained my and my sister’s problems very well while using the MRI pictures. He explained the different procedures that could be used. He allowed me to record his explanation. I had 2 epidurals in my back for sciatica plus physical therapy and now have no pain. After each procedure he walked me back to my cubicle instead of having a nurse do it. He said it was the best part of his job. It made me feel that I was important and not just a number. I highly recommend him. My sister will be going to him next for her neck pain.
