Dr. James Gilhool
James Gilhool, D.O. is board-certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Pain Medicine and Sports Medicine. Dr. Gilhool diagnoses and provides non-surgical treatment for disorders of the spine. Through exercise and injections, Dr. Gilhool’s goal is to help restore function so patients can do daily activities and improve their independence.
Dr. Gilhool is also a Certified ImPACT Consultant (CIC) treating concussions. In his leisure time, he enjoys spending time with his family, outdoor activities and coaching lacrosse.

What Patients Are Saying
Received shot in lower back for chronic pain. Dr. Gilhool performed the procedure. I was in and out within about an hour. Unfortunately, the shot has only provided a small amount of relief and so an additional procedure may be required. This was a possibility and has occurred in the past. An additional shot normally provides adequate relief that allows me to manage my pain and remain somewhat mobile and functional.
