Dr. James Gilhool
James Gilhool, D.O. is board-certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Pain Medicine and Sports Medicine. Dr. Gilhool diagnoses and provides non-surgical treatment for disorders of the spine. Through exercise and injections, Dr. Gilhool’s goal is to help restore function so patients can do daily activities and improve their independence.
Dr. Gilhool is also a Certified ImPACT Consultant (CIC) treating concussions. In his leisure time, he enjoys spending time with his family, outdoor activities and coaching lacrosse.

I had an appointment at OSS Urgent Care. Dr. Gilhool was a step-in for the scheduled doctor. He provided excellent service to me, even though he was doubling his workload that day. He listed to my complaints about knee pain. He reviewed a recent x-ray from a different problem, then referred me to physical therapy, an MRI, and a follow up with a sports medicine doctor. I had my first PT appointment today as well as the MRI. This has been a very good start to determine the exact actions to reduce the knee pain and strengthen my knee and leg muscles to get back to normal activities.
