Dr. James Gilhool
James Gilhool, D.O. is board-certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Pain Medicine and Sports Medicine. Dr. Gilhool diagnoses and provides non-surgical treatment for disorders of the spine. Through exercise and injections, Dr. Gilhool’s goal is to help restore function so patients can do daily activities and improve their independence.
Dr. Gilhool is also a Certified ImPACT Consultant (CIC) treating concussions. In his leisure time, he enjoys spending time with his family, outdoor activities and coaching lacrosse.

Dr. Gilhool explained the procedure, which eased my anxiety, and was so very compassionate, concerning my care. He escorted me by allowing me to hold onto his arm back to the waiting area to be discharged so I wouldn’t fall. When I had complications, he personally called and talked to me over the phone, and was very kind.
