Dr. Paul Lin
Paul Lin, MD is board-certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Dr. Lin specializes in the diagnosis and non-surgical treatment of back and neck pain, as well as joint pain. He has special interest in the non-surgical care of spine, musculoskeletal ultrasound, sports medicine and electrodiagnostic studies.
In his leisure time, Dr. Lin enjoys spending time with family, snowboarding, hydrofoil surfing, and rock climbing.

About 9 months ago, during a visit to my primary care physician, I was recommended to OSS for a consultation about my hip pain. My first two visits were with Dr. R. Lakatos, who prescribed a medication to reduce inflammation and another medication to control my constant leg spasms at night. With the loss of Dr. Lakatos to another health care provider, I was re-assigned to Dr. Paul Lin for my second consultation for the pain. During this visit on January 10th, I had x-rays of my affected hip taken. These x-rays showed extreme arthritis in the hip joint. The pain was extremely bad at this point and I could barely stand up without excruciating pain. At the recommendation of Dr. Lin, I was immediately given a pain medication injection, directly in the hip joint during this visit. It has now been two weeks since the injection and I can now stand up without pain, I can lift my left leg and tie my shoe without pain. I can walk with almost no pain what so ever. I can focus on normal activities again without pain interfering with my daily routine. Dr. Lin and his assistants were very professional and showed great concern for my physical pain and also how they administered the pain medication injection. They even allowed me to watch the needle entering my hip using an ultrasound monitor. This was really cool and educational. I would highly recommend OSS and Dr. Lin to anyone who has similar old age joint paint such as mine. This has been a very successful treatment and I thank Dr. Lin for his professionalism. I had the Vertiflex procedure done, they were placed between L-3/4 & L-4/5. My walking distance has greatly improved, don't have the pain in my hips or going down my leg. I would recommend having this procedure done for the relief of the pain.
