Dr. Alexander Kish
Dr. Alexander Kish is board certified in Orthopaedic Surgery and also holds an additional subspecialty certificate in Surgery of the Hand. He received his undergraduate degree in Biology from King’s College in Wilkes-Barre, PA, and his medical degree from Penn State College of Medicine where he was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society.
Dr. Kish completed a residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Maryland Medical Center and R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, MD. After residency he completed a fellowship in Hand/Microvascular/Upper Extremity Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. This extra year of training afforded him the opportunity to hone his skills in the surgical and non-surgical treatment options for various conditions of the arm and hand. Dr. Kish especially enjoys challenging upper extremity pathology and has great interest in management of complex fractures, nerve and tendon injuries, as well as the treatment of arthritis in the shoulder, elbow, wrist, and fingers.
In his leisure time, he enjoys mountain biking, running, fly fishing, and spending time with his wonderful family.

Dr Kish has a rare approach in today's medicine. He gives you his undivided attention and is more concerned about meeting the needs of the patient than doing things the way he prefers i.e. His preference was general sedation. I felt strongly not to go that way. He graciously gave a local which allowed us to converse during the surgery. He has a down to earth approachable disposition making it easy and comfortable to talk with, which fosters a confident, a safe feeling. He explains the procedure in detail and what to expect. He doesn't hurry you even though he is busy. I would give him 10 stars!!

From the initial consultation, I felt comfortable with Dr. Kish. His evaluation, explanation, and treatment of my dislocated shoulder was first class. He stays abreast of my physical therapy's progress. I would recommend Dr. Kish to anyone.
