Dr. Corey Caruthers
Corey Caruthers, DO is an orthopaedic surgeon with specialized training in joint replacement surgery and arthroscopic surgery of the hip, knee, and shoulder. Dr. Caruthers uses a minimally invasive surgical approach and the most advanced technology when doing surgeries so that his patients have an excellent outcome and a faster recovery. He is one of few surgeons in central PA trained in robotic-assisted knee replacement and he uses the anterior approach to total hip replacement when appropriate. Dr. Caruthers also treats many general orthopaedic conditions including fractures and sports injuries.

I had a lot of questions for the doctor and he patiently took the time to explain them for me and I did not feel rushed very thorough instruction going over the exercises.

I had gone to OIP 3 times, they were wonderful but said my only option was immediate knee replacement . I couldn't do that because my daughter was getting married & my other daughter was having a baby & I wanted to be in the delivery room. I couldn't miss these things being laid up w/ surgery. So I went to OSS for a 2nd opinion. Dr. Caruthers showed me my xrays/mri in detail. He understood why surgery was not an option at that point. He gave me exercises to do & explained why they would help. After seeing him 3 times, I am no longer using my cane & am not in extreme pain. Sure I still need surgery but thru gel shots & exercise I can attend my special events & walk only w/ a slight limp. He listened!!... Great doctor!
