Dr. Corey Caruthers
Corey Caruthers, DO is an orthopaedic surgeon with specialized training in joint replacement surgery and arthroscopic surgery of the hip, knee, and shoulder. Dr. Caruthers uses a minimally invasive surgical approach and the most advanced technology when doing surgeries so that his patients have an excellent outcome and a faster recovery. He is one of few surgeons in central PA trained in robotic-assisted knee replacement and he uses the anterior approach to total hip replacement when appropriate. Dr. Caruthers also treats many general orthopaedic conditions including fractures and sports injuries.

Appointment was just a few minutes later than my appointment time. His associate could not get blood pressure cuff to work. I was taken to X-ray for an X-ray of my hip. That was done effectively. The check out was horrible. I waited over 30 minutes to check out. I needed a referral for physical therapy and there was only one person working check out station. This is the only time I have been upset with OSS.

Dr. Caruthers gave me a total knee replacement 5-1/2 weeks ago. I had the robotic surgery and it was the best choice I have ever made. I really didn't have pain afterwards. It was more of a dull ache which was amazing. Comparing it to my other knee replacement at a different practice, I came through this one 100% better. Healing and therapy is quicker and easier. Personally I think the robotic surgery is what made the difference along with Dr Caruthers expertise. He always took his time with me. Answered all my questions and gave me suggestions. He never rushed me and made this experience a lot easier for me. I'm 70 years old and I truly believe that this young Doctor has a very big future ahead of him based on my experience.
