Dr. Corey Caruthers
Corey Caruthers, DO is an orthopaedic surgeon with specialized training in joint replacement surgery and arthroscopic surgery of the hip, knee, and shoulder. Dr. Caruthers uses a minimally invasive surgical approach and the most advanced technology when doing surgeries so that his patients have an excellent outcome and a faster recovery. He is one of few surgeons in central PA trained in robotic-assisted knee replacement and he uses the anterior approach to total hip replacement when appropriate. Dr. Caruthers also treats many general orthopaedic conditions including fractures and sports injuries.

I went to Dr. Caruthers for a second opinion about a total knee replacement because I was interested in having the replacement done using the MAKO robotic system. He carefully explained the procedure to me and what to expect after the surgery. Thanks to his skill and that of the whole staff at OSS my surgery was very successful. I had very little pain afterwards and within six weeks I was walking with no assistive device. My physical therapist cannot believe how quickly I was able to recover from the surgery.

From my first appointment to my follow up visits Dr Caruthers was a pleasure to be around. He’s funny and what he tell you about your upcoming surgery makes perfect sense which makes you feel good about your surgeon and about OSS If I could give hi 10 stars I would !!!
