Dr. Corey Caruthers
Corey Caruthers, DO is an orthopaedic surgeon with specialized training in joint replacement surgery and arthroscopic surgery of the hip, knee, and shoulder. Dr. Caruthers uses a minimally invasive surgical approach and the most advanced technology when doing surgeries so that his patients have an excellent outcome and a faster recovery. He is one of few surgeons in central PA trained in robotic-assisted knee replacement and he uses the anterior approach to total hip replacement when appropriate. Dr. Caruthers also treats many general orthopaedic conditions including fractures and sports injuries.

Dr. Caruthers provided me with one of the best medical experiences I've ever had. I was dealing with a knee that was in need of replacement for about 2 years. He counseled me and provided me realistic options to extend the time before I needed a full replacement. The time for that surgery came in October. His explanation of the procedure, potential complications and expectations were excellent. Dr. Caruthers utilizes a robotic assisted surgical procedure which reduces the negative impacts of traditional surgery. The recovery from my total knee replacement far exceeded my expectations. The day after surgery I walked over 300 steps and the next day 800 steps. After only 5 weeks I am 90% recovered and walking normally. I cannot recommend Dr. Caruthers and higher if you are in need off knee or hip surgery.

Dr. Caruthers did a total knee replacement on both my knees last year. One was done in May one in August. Both were perfect and healed with little scaring. His manner with his patients is easy and a pleàsant experience. He has also been my gate keeper for other orthopedic issues, referring me to other OSS providers as needed. I would refer anyone to him.
