Dr. James Gilhool
James Gilhool, D.O. is board-certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Pain Medicine and Sports Medicine. Dr. Gilhool diagnoses and provides non-surgical treatment for disorders of the spine. Through exercise and injections, Dr. Gilhool’s goal is to help restore function so patients can do daily activities and improve their independence.
Dr. Gilhool is also a Certified ImPACT Consultant (CIC) treating concussions. In his leisure time, he enjoys spending time with his family, outdoor activities and coaching lacrosse.

He actually took the time to explain and answer my questions. Most doctors rush in and out leaving a person feeling like they don't matter. Dr. Gilhool was the exact opposite. He sat in and talked to me for 30 minutes explaining in detail the procedure he was going to do. When it was time for the procedure, and I was waiting my turn, he popped in occasionally asking if I had any questions and reassuring me that everything was going to be alright. His nurses were fantastic as well. They were kind, courteous, patient, and understanding. They were the true definition of professional. Their kindness and care showed through past the procedure. They called and checked in on me with true care and concern in their voices. I appreciate everything they did for me! Thank you again Dr. Gilhool for giving me my life back!
