Dr. Brent Hines
Brent S. Hines, DO is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon. Dr. Hines provides care for all general orthopaedic problems with a focus in shoulder surgery. He has expertise in knee and shoulder replacements as well as arthroscopic surgery in the knee and shoulder.
Dr. Hines completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery at Memorial Hospital right here in York. After his residency, he completed specialized fellowship training in shoulder surgery at Saint Francis Orthopaedic Institute in Columbus, Georgia. He helps his patients get back to the activities they enjoy.

He was direct but cordial & respectful. He told me the diagnosis of my MRI results of my shoulder and offered me what he thought my best course of action would be so that I could get the best results. Given those choices, I decided to go with his recommendation. It has helped me to date with my shoulder pain. I was also relieved to know that I did not require surgery at this time & that everything structurally appears to be very sound. I have every confidence that Dr. Hines will provide me with the best course of action in the future for my shoulder should I need to visit him again.

From the moment I met Dr. Hines he was so down to earth and explained everything that you could understand it. Didn’t hide anything from me told me exactly what would happen from pre-surgery to everything in between and after. Believe me I’ve had a great experience with everyone in OSS and would recommend any one of them to see. Last appointment with Dr Hines I thanked him for all he did because today I’m not in pain anymore and have almost full range motion which I may get all of it back if not I’m so grateful for all that I do. Thanks so much again, you are AWESOME!
