Dr. Scott King
Scott King, DO treats all general orthopaedic problems with particular interest in the study and treatment of athletic injuries in patients of all ages and levels of play. He is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon with a concentration in arthroscopic surgery of the hip, knee, shoulder and elbow, as well as shoulder and knee replacements.
Dr. King has treated members of the Boston Red Sox, the Pawtucket Red Sox (AAA), the Italian national soccer team, the Premier League (soccer), Division I, II, and III collegiate teams in all sports, as well as multiple high school teams.

I missed a step and broke my patella (kneecap) and didn’t think it was an emergency so I didn’t call for an ambulance when it happened. Long story short, the Emergency Department at Penn State Hospital made the best decision (too swollen to operate) by releasing me with an escalation to their surgical center. Shortly after that is when I decided that I already trusted an orthopedic surgeon and called OSS to see if Dr. King was available for the repair surgery (I also had a chipped bone in my wrist from the fall). Obviously he was a one stop shop for both injuries and I am 8 weeks out of surgery and super grateful that he and his team were able to help me walk correctly again. I am not completely recovered as my knee was locked straight for six weeks yet progress is being made one degree at a time with Physical Therapist 3x a week.Hopefully at the next follow up visit with Noelle (his amazing Physician Assistant) I will be back to “normal” as far as bending and range of motion go. Dr King was very helpful as to warning me about how painful the recovery is and how to manage the pain and inflammation whilst reassuring me that no matter how hard we push through this process we won’t be causing more harm.Overall, as a repeat “customer” I would definitely recommend Dr King and his amazing team if Orthopedic Surgery is something you need.
