Meet Dr. Usman Zahir
I completed my orthopedic residency and spine fellowship training at the University of Maryland Medical Center/R. Adam’s Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, Maryland. Since my training, I have worked for several hospital systems and eventually transitioned to private practice before joining OSS. My practice philosophy centers on patient education. I take pride in promoting a patient centered approach in treatment focusing on less invasive treatments.
I have a special interest in endoscopic spine surgery. This is a minimally invasive spinal procedure that uses small scopes and cameras to perform spinal surgery. As a regional expert on endoscopic spine surgery, I enjoy teaching and training other surgeons on this procedure.
In my leisure time, I enjoy the outdoors, traveling, sports, reading and spending time with my family.
